Break Free Concert

The concert was really an unexpected one! I never thought it would be so successful, unbelievable, and besides, there was so many who turned up! I still remember how Esther had sounded when there was just about 30+ people in the hall at 7pm. "YEETHONG!!THERE'S SO LITTLE PEOPLE!!!HOOOWWW???".

I was preparing hastily in the make-up room (i was late =P). When, it was 7.30pm, one of my eyes still had no eye-liner!( i missed the dance from Funky Fever!) But what choice did i have that time, the girl just simply drew one round around it, i ran to the hall where everyone was waiting for me. Everyone was smiling anxiously. I took a peek out the hall, and lo and behold, i saw what like a hall FULL of people! I was simple astounded and really thank God for such miracle!

I was still in a shock trance, when suddenly aunty Rachel spray one line of red dust/paint across my face! It was actually meant for my hair! The shouting game they were playing outside was almost finished, and it was about time for all of us to sing!

I quickly wiped away the one red line on my left cheek, hoping it wont be so obvious. There was no mirror around anyway. Haha. Then it was time. We went up to greet the multitude of people. I was very pleased to saw a few faces whom i thought would not come, and also i saw Maggie the new era guy. What a shock! =).

The worship singing was a great one, though halfway through the fast songs, i found my voice shaky and almost had no voice left. Guess i had shouted too much for the past days. Anyway, really enjoyed Alvin's worship-leading. He just simply trust in God the whole time during the worship leading. I still remember he once said to me, "You don't have to think of what you would do when you are on stage later, you just follow and trust on what the Spirit guides you at that time."Then he smiled. I had heard of it many times, but yet it's really different when you are in it and someone told you that.

The SMS game was a funny one! It seemed weird, seeing this game became a reality. I still remember esther explaining how this game works enthusiastically in the car on the way to Kasturi, her eyes gleaming. Ahh, there was just so many plannings and ideas discussed in the car for 4 days. That was one month before the concert!

Anyway, after the game, Pastor Paul Ch'ng talked about this one testimony about a boy who had so much hatred towards his parents. But through God's grace and love, he was able to forgive them and even loved them. During the altar call, i was touched to see so many people who went ahead, even more touched to see one whom i know of the background, it was something like the testimony. I glanced across to esther and found her almost in tears. =P. I understand though, she had put so much hope in this concert. Anyway, after that, its food time! The food was just so excellent! So many varieties of them! Then, only i remember how hungry i was.(i didn't take my dinner yet and it was already 10.30) Haha.

I had learned a lot of things during the concert, more to during the preparation for this concert, especially that one week practice. Its truly the process that mattered, how we just did our best and surrendering the end result to God. Of course, there were a lot of ups and downs, misunderstandings, many accidents, many spiritual attacks, worriness to each and everyone who were involved in the concert. I'm glad that through God's protection, all of them were overcame and we were strengthened through that!=D
A lot of the pictures are with the others, especially the group photos.

I can't believe this concert had come to pass, but i know that there'll surely be greater things in the future for the youth in chinese section. This concert is just the beginning of it. I'm glad to be part of the team. From a dream and vision from God, to the plannings in the back of the classroom, to the invitation, to the practices, to the prayer, to the day!=)
