Hey, today in church, Pastor Calvin shared about being from HERO to ZERO...
It is totally the opposite of what Darren shared previously which is being from ZERO to HERO...

Sometimes, we tend to think that we are okay in our relationship with God, and to just keep thinking that,
"Oh well, i read the bible. I hear Christian songs all the time and i go to church. So i guess my relationship with Him is totally flawless".
Then we will continue doing what is already a routine for us like Time Alone With God without really seeking Him with a passionate and humble heart or the hungriness for His word as well as to be still and sensitive of His presence. *Something like a zombie to me.*

When you have reached to this state of thinking like this, then thats the time when you have to be careful!
That's the time when the roller coaster you are sitting on is preparing to drop down.


So that's why God had told us through the Word and warned us.

[Romans 15:4]
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us,
so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

[1 Corinthians 10:11-12]
11These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us,
on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. 12So, if you think you are standing firm,
be careful that you don't fall!

Besides that, he talked about disobedience.
The feeling of "Want to start everything on your own" shall not be there but to depend on God.

Like here, King Saul did not follow what is commanded by the Lord.
He made too many excuses in following them.
Like here, in 1 Samuel 15, he made his soldiers as part of the excuse to bring back the best sheep, cattle for sacrifice and also Agag the King while the Lord had already clearly said that He wants everything destroyed.
In the end, he was striped off from becoming King of Israel.

A great shock of my life when i opened the door of a house expecting to see white flowers with innocent butterflies.
Instead, i saw pink and black flowers with some messy overgrown hedge. Soft and soothing music surrounded the area leaving me speechless at where i first opened the door.

Extremely weird!
I shall just stand by at the door waiting to see more weirdness resurfacing!=)

I couldn't continue my essay on "Childhood Memories" after hearing about the insane murder case of this little girl, Nurin.

I just can't help writing about my sweet memories while other children are suffering like that!!

What is happening in Malaysia?
What is happening to all of the human races?
What is going on in those murderers' mind?

This case is just too insane!!!
Too crazy to be even imagined!

As i was looking at the little girl's pictures (alive with a bright smile on her sweet face & the one dead with bruises on her face), i couldn't help feeling the pain she must had endured for a month!
Its all too outrageous~!
How can that happened to an innocent kid like that??
Where is the love?
Like how the BEP sing in the song "where is the love"..

We really need love!!
Love and Peace!!

phew...this world is turning upside down now..
i think i might even be hunted down for writing such a post in this blog! Who knows?

Anyway, the conclusion is, i'm deeply upset with the cases going around here especially this one....=S

At this point of time, we shall just bow down our head and pray to God.

Today is a good and a bad day which the bad eventually leads to the good side of it!

Some thoughts of the day
+ a very muddy, torn, and ugly writings on the paper
+ Be still so that the paper can be repaired
+ Be still so that the paper can be painted with beautiful colours
+ in order to be painted, the paper has to let the pencils and brushes to have some friction with it
+ trust that the Hand is doing the wonderful work
+ rain falls down to the river
+ paper aware of the wind
+ paper be ready!
+ things work a funny yet wonderful way around
+ don't stain the paper that show the wrong thing
+ aware as the animals are aware too
+ don't rush like the wind of a storm

Yesterday was our first biggest concert (at least for me) held by my church KAOG.
A band from Christian City Church, Sydney had came for the conference and also the concert.

I signed up for the "Vocalists" and the "Worship Leadership" workshops.

Notes from the "vocalists" workshop
- clearing your throat is a very dangerous thing for your voice
- pineapple, water, honey, ginger, rest, tea(non-caffeine), nuts are good for your voice
- smoking, alcohol (will dehydrate your vocal cord), caffeine, spicy food are bad!
- do not take sweets like Strepsils although you have sore throat
- must warm up for 20 mins before you sing
- if you feel there is some mucus at your throat, don't clear them away as they are as a lubricant for your vocal cord and they are good!
- When singing in church as a background singer, we must always match with the style of the singing of the lead singer

Notes from the "Worship Leadership" workshop
- TRUTH - worship in truth [John4:21-26]
- it does take time
- how effectively
- know what you believe
- the main purpose of worship is to honour, to serve and to reverence God
- Basically, worship is from the heart. It is selfless. Problems shall be laid aside
- When you are a worship leader, prepare yourself.
*physical - comfortable with yourself or what you are wearing
- don't wear something that will attract people onto you instead of God
*mental/emotional - don't worry
- you must know that you don't have to be perfect in order to lead the
worship
- focus on loving people and God
* spiritual - spend time with God
- focus, pray, repent, be carefree
- don't tell everyone about your problems in life but to just tell those who you think
that can help or give good advice to you

Thanks to Meng Jun (not sure of the spelling), i got some tips on how to write a good worship song

Notes to write a song
- remember that worship songs are to bring people to God and to get connected with God
- keep it simple
- rhyme will help people to remember the lyrics
- if the song is written but doesn't sound right, change the lyrics but keep the idea.
- open to suggestions
- figure out the right words



After 30 minutes of waiting after the General Session 2, at last my brother came, rushed me back home and then back to church in 15 minutes! Incredible right? Haha..

Then Rachel Foong came and picked me up from church and Yvonne from Sg. Long. Good of her to send me there..=)

On the way there, which took around 50 minutes, i took some pictures on the sky.
It was incredible!







amazing! The one light!

We reached PGRM, Cheras. Almost got lost on the way to the Dewan Wawasan!
Glad when we saw the grand hall! The hall is nice!
Then was placed guarding the entrance and was positioned to usher in some place.

What i feel before the concert starts
- excited
- feeling incredible
- feeling amazing
- feeling like being hit by a pillow while asleep
- feeling that there'll be a blast tonight
- going to burst soon


So took one picture with Amanda.


During the concert
- had a great time there even though only about 1000 people attended the concert (the hall has 3000 seats)
- had a great worship
- nothing really bad happened
- Jeff Crabtree preached about 'love', the true love. He said that love is not something we feel, but something we do.
- about 9 souls are saved
- most importantly, God showed up again.
